To pack files into a ZIP online, select the intended files in your cloud, create the archive using the supported controls and check its contents. ZIP groups files; already compressed video and images may not become much smaller.

Prepare the archive

  1. Choose the files and folders that belong together.

  2. Use the current ZIP creation controls described in the linked guide.

  3. Name the archive clearly and wait for the task to complete.

  4. Open the result and check the contents before removing any source files.

Size and privacy

ZIP is useful for bundling documents and media. Already compressed files may shrink little. Creating an archive alone does not apply a password or grant a recipient access to your cloud files.

Seedr's current file-tools notes place archive extraction and creation in the paid Tools feature. Check the controls available in your account; a free account alone does not establish access to this operation.

Check what is inside

  • Choose only the files that belong in the archive, with clear folder names.

  • Keep the originals while ZIP creation finishes, then open the archive and check its contents.

  • Already compressed videos and images may see little size reduction. A ZIP is not encryption by default.

Frequently asked questions

Will ZIP always make a video much smaller?

No. Already compressed media often shrinks little. ZIP is still useful for grouping files.

Can I delete the originals after making a ZIP?

Check the archive first and keep an independent backup for important material. An untested archive is not a verified backup.
